Help this Rookie with matching your template…

I can’t seem to get my Home page to look like your sample. Do you have tutorials anywhere? I got the RevSlider to show up, but only in the footer because I put the Widget for it in the footer. I tried using the tool in the toolbar for the Slider but when I place it, it is blank and I’m not sure how to reference the Revolution Slider that I set up with the correct images. Please let me know how I can set up a page to look like your main Home page example. Thanks!
