Sidebar Widget spacing?

Didn’t see this anywhere but I’m having an issue with the spacing on my home page. I have the reading setting pointing to a specific page (home) so when it loads the page and since the main title isn’t there the widget items as well as the slider bump right against the menu. The slider I can adjust no problem. I’ve tried putting a text widget above what I want to show with HTML spacing in it tp push down the next widget but that doesn’t seem to work either.
