Slider Not Visible

We purchased the Savia theme from ThemeForest.net, downloaded and installed via uploading the zip to the Theme area of Wordress’s admin panel and successfully installed and activated it.

The only problem we are experiencing is that the slider is not there.

We have checked the plugins directory but can’t see anything resembling a slider there, no post categories or slider images / text. Had a look in Theme customizations but it makes no mention of the slider.

Is there some PHP we need to add to a particular template in order to have it display?

We are currently using a static front page and we don’t see any shortcodes for the slider either (if that is how you are implementing it).
