Icon shortcode inserted into a text block

I just used the Icon shortcode in a text block but when I updated/viewed the page, a boxed question mark shows up instead and offset about 20px. I then cut the shortcode from the Visual tab and then switched to the Text tab and pasted the shortcode then went back to the Visual tab but just the shortcode appears as shown below. Am I missing a reference to the icons folder location somewhere?
