I am adding a new portfolio item but the text is not like the WYSIWIG style of the rest of the sit so i am trying to work it out.

How do i add in a link to this button in my portfolio item?

By default the VC editor for Portfolio items is switched off, you can turn it on under Dashboard->Visual Composer->Content types, then when editing a portfolio item make sure under Screen Options (top right corner) you have Visual Composer switched on as well.

Other than that the shortcode button has an attribute for the link: “href” so in your case it would become
