That is fine, it does not have to be dynamic. Could we have a set width of all content. Maybe 575 px no matter the photo width above it?

Then define a max-width in the CSS for that div.
For example…

<div class="my_content"> .............. </div>

then in Theme options->Custom Styles add:

.my_content {
max-width: 575px;
}
