No matter what I do I can’t get the Blog post page change it’s style. I have tried many different variations of options and nothing is changing? Am I missing something? I am using the Post Grid VC Element and I can’t seem to get the Masonry Grid to work.

Blog post? Have you set your Blog page? If yes then that page will only use the index.php template which is the default style. If you want a custom page go ahead and create a regular page, then add whatever elements (rows, cols, grids etc) you want to it and use it as your blog page. :)

I just figured out what the issue was and why nothing was changing, it was because I had the page selected as the designated “Posts Page” in my WP settings. It was overriding everything I was doing. Son of a b…. I was pulling my hair out last night of that and it didn’t even dawn on me to unset that particular setting.

In settings you have to select something for the post page. I created a page titled Blog. Left it blank, did not do anything to the page. then in settings set that page as the post page. if I don’t set a page how do I get the blogs to display?
In theme options there aren’t any settings to choose from.

In settings, deselect the page you had set as your “post” page. Then navigate to that page and add a “row”, then click the “+” icon and add the following element to the page:

Then edit that element and set your settings for the style you wish to achieve. You can play around with the settings in the Post Grid element like so:
