We wanted to use the top of page layout in a slider.

Rather than attempting to do the same on Revolution Slider, we opted to integrate this presentation into a carousel. It worked great until we duplicated the item carousel. Now this is no longer displayed correctly. Could you help us please? Can we give you private information on the site? And we would like to know how to limit the image size of the height slider too.

Yes, I am afraid this element won’t work in a carousel as there’s some absolute positioning + before after pseudo classes that clash with the owl carousel plugin. You might want to go with a Revslider here, you also have full control over it’s mobile behavior.
