Hi,

You can easily have your own image as a header bgr by overwriting one of the bgr images for the 3 custom header backgrounds currently available, for example:

/images/page_head_bgr1.png

You can also upload your own file and change the CSS background image if you want as well in your stylesheet.css:

.page_title_bgr.bgr_style1 .full_container_page_title {
background: #fafafa url(‘../images/page_head_bgr1.png’) top center;
}

If you want to remove the standard heading with the breadcrumbs and page name and create your own, simply tick the HIDE PAGE HEADING at the bottom of the editor screen and create your own Header via the HTML editor, that’s what I have done here:

Brilliant, thank you. I have added it via the html editor.

Any chance I can make it stretch it so it sits 100% across the top of the page?

Also – when I add the header through the html editor on this page with a side nav bar it doesn’t sit right

http://rawsugarcomingsoon.co.nz/services-2/

Perhaps I need to try to change the CSS file instead.

Is it possible to have a header on the contact page above the google map? If i add the header through the html editor it sits below the map as a small image.

Yes, pass the URL of the bgr image as a bgr_url parameter to the row_container like so:

[row_container full_width="yes" dark="no" padded="yes" bgr_url="http://localhost/freelance/savia/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/bgr_res.jpg" bgr_parallax="yes"]

That’s what I have done here:

http://blueowlcreative.com/wp/savia/about-us/

In a page with sidebar the Row container don’t make sense at all as your content already flows in a 3/4 column so they shouldn’t even be used… There a better Idea would be to use the background image replacement I have pointed you to in the first reply.

For you contact page, the Page content is made to flow below the map, if you aren’t using it to add anything else above the form you could move it above the Map in the contact.php template in order to create your header. So move this:

<?php the_content(); ?>

below this bit:

<div class="content_bgr">

Just regarding adding a header to the contact us page. I have replaced the image and added this code to the CSS

.page_title_bgr.bgr_style1 .full_container_page_title {
background: #fafafa url(‘../images/page_head_bgr1.png’) top center;
}

This has allowed me to have my own header on my inside pages.

You said “For you contact page, the Page content is made to flow below the map, if you aren’t using it to add anything else above the form you could move it above the Map in the contact.php template in order to create your header. So move this:

<?php the_content(); ?>

below this bit:

<div class=”content_bgr”>

I did move <?php the_content(); ?> under <div class=”content_bgr”> in the contact.php template but it didn’t change anything and the header was not added. Do I need to add the code underneath <?php the_content(); ?> or just <?php the_content(); ?>

Many thanks.

Hi again, didn’t your actual content show above the map once you moved it up in the template?
