Chinese Font Shows Up Differently in Chrome & Mozilla

Hello,

How do I fix Chinese font differences (seems like totally different fonts) that show up in different browsers like Chrome and Mozilla even though no changes to any CSS codes were made (default).

Hi there,

First off you would make sure the fonts you are using support Chinese characters. Are you using google fonts?

in theme options, the font that was default and selected is Open Sans. I’ve never made any changes to any codings with regards to font option in Aqua.

The chinese letters show up fine in chrome but they look very inconsistent (still in chinese) when the same page is browsed in Mozilla.

Aqua? You are posting in Fortuna’s category, so you are using Aqua theme.
So you are saying the fonts load differently in Mozilla and Chrome? Sorry no Chinese experience

This document appears to be written in Simplified Chinese but the html start tag has lang=”en-US”. Consider using lang=”zh-hans” (or variant) instead.

From line 8, column 35; to line 9, column 19

How do I make changes so that I tell the start tag that the language is not english but zh-hans instead?

HAve you changed in under your “Settings/General”?
