customize portfolio image

Hi,
1. is there a way to remove the small triangle in the corner of the portfolio? I want to keep the + sign but client doesn’t like the shape in the corner. see this screenshot http://imgur.com/a/UHl3A

2. can you give me code to increase the size of the portfolio image. see attached.
