Demo data not imported

I have tried to follow the steps in the documentation but looks like not everything was imported from the Demo files. My assumption is that after importing demo data, i will have the options that the demo has and my site will look very similar to Demo and then I will take it from there through customization.

But looks like most of the options are missing.

Hi there,

Let’s see,

1. What happens after you import, do you get any pages/posts imported or it died out while importing the Images.

2. What hosting are you using, some hostings have limitations that you need to tweak a bit in order to import everything in full?

Ok, you can simply ask your hosting provider to increase the limitations of your account for the timebeing like so:

memory_limit = 512M
max_execution_time = 180
upload_max_filesize = 50M
post_max_size = 50M
max_input_vars = 6000

or if you are running some hosting panel you could have options to manage those too.
An alternative would be to let me take a look at your credentials + FTP user/pass so I can take a look for you, sometimes hosting companies limit the user rights and changes made with php.ini don’t take effect, so the easiest way to go is to simply ask them to do that for you. Let me know how it goes.

I uploaded a new php.ini to the WP root folder, but the values didn’t change.
What did your hosting say about increasing those values again?
We have to increase the limitations to import the Demo, they must help you with this even if they put them back after you import. It’s not just the file upload limit that needs to be increased, memory limit and timout as well, check here at the bottom:

Thanks, I have switched my hosting provider. I was able to upload the demo file successfully by increasing the limits. The website looks like the demo site now.

The issue is resolved, thanks for your help.
