I have a blog landing page which lists all the latest blog posts. I want the default sidebar to show, displaying Recent posts, Recent comments, Archives and Categories, but for some reason there’s a number of extra items in there as well: Categories (again), Latest news, What clients say, What we offer, Popular tags…

These seem to be from the demo content but I can’t see how to remove them.
Any ideas?

Those are under Appearance->Widgets, you will see your default Sidebar there and you can modify it anyway you please.
