Hi guys,

Hope you can help!
PHP was recently upgraded to 7.0 and it’s caused an issue with the site – specifically, users now can’t click on links or form fields on the contact us page: http://www.robinsonslondon.com/contact/

I’ve reset PHP to 5.3 and restored all files and DBs to pre-upgrade but the problem is still there now. Seems to occur on all browsers – Chrome/Firefox/Edge

Any idea why this is happening?
And how I can fix it?

Speak soon,
Chris

Hi guys,

Managed to resolve this now.
Turned out it was some rogue code from a third party iframe but it just happened to coincide with our PHP 7 upgrade. Have gone back to PHP 5.3 for now since seeing elsewhere on this forum that the theme’s plugins don’t yet support PHP 7.

Also noticed that the latest update changed the way we needed to add shortcodes from other plugins to a page. We used to add these to the text wyzywyg of a text block but now it seems they need to be added within a raw html element.

I’ve done this using the following but let me know if there’s another way this should be taken care of:

<?php echo do_shortcode(“[example-short-code-xxxxx]“); ?>

All the best,

Chris

Actually – all other shortcodes seem to work just fine added under the text tab of the wyzywyg of a text element but it’s just this one particular plugin (Simple Page Tester) that seems to be causing problems and causing a Fatal Error whenever you save the page it’s added to. Still saves, and still tracks visits to that page just bugging me that it causes a fatal error. Have asked them for guidance but if you know of any known issues with their shortcodes please do let me know. Thanks guys!
