After testing my site http://test.corvetteclubsantabarbara.com for the past few days, I have discovered that after 1 full day of no modifications, the transparent header switches from a static main menu w/transparent background to a white background that scrolls along with the content (no longer static much like an iPhone display). The only solution is to clear cache (Comet Cache Pro) and the static main menu re-appears along with a transparent background. I did look @ the Comet Cache Pro settings and changed Cache Expiration Time from 1 day to 7 days but that will probably cause the same problem at day 7. Is this leading to a support question with Comet Cache or is this something within the Theme that is controllable?

Hmmm, sounds strange.
Caching shouldn’t really cause an issue like that, pls write to me if you get this effect again so I can take a look when it’s there as there’s nothing I can do right now.

I believe I found a pattern causing the static header failure issue and it looks like it so far that occurs with Safari. If I am perusing one of the Newsletter PDF’s from my site and it has an external website url in the article, an error MAY pop up in safari that it had to reload the page. Once it recovered and I clicked the back button to get back to the original newsletter then click back button again to view the site, the entire site would reload AND the static header would change by dropping the transparent header and it would become part of the scrolling page. I cleared Safari history, brought up http://test.corvetteclubsantabarbara.com and the static transparent header came back to normal. Now I need to see if this happens in Chrome or Edge.

I went back into Safari an hour later, opened the same PDF with the external URL and this time it whacked the cache. So, I had to log in to the site to clear all cache in order for the transparent static header to show again within Safari, Chrome and Edge.

So you have to go through that PDF download to experience the issue?
Maybe it’s trying to scroll back to the same place where you used to be before downloading after you click the back button and that could be causing it?

Possibly. Error: This webpage was reloaded because a problem occurred. Maybe it’s a Adobe PDF problem but I did see several posts out on the internet about this error on iOS devices and how to fix it. Basically, clear history – doesn’t seem like a long term fix to me.

So, at this point, I still don’t know why my static header gets disabled under any web browser and requires cache clearing on the site to fix the problem.

I don’t see a reason either, a similar issue was never reported before.
You may want to further inspect your particular case and what might be causing it.
Does one of the external/backward links you mentioned earlier have a # in it?

Yesterday for kicks and grins, I changed the cache-expiration from 7 days to 1 hour. This morning after pulling up the site on Safari, initially the transparent/static header appeared but once I navigated around it disappeared and became part of the scrolling content. No Newsletter PDF’s were viewed so its got to be something with Comet Cache Pro and the Fortuna Theme. I may deactivate/delete Comet Cache Pro and install something else just to see if it changes anything.

I am open to anything at this point.

Sure, give that a try.
If you want you can also tell me how I can get to that same state (steps to reproduce) so I can see what’s happening in the front end to cause the glitch.
