I have tried adding the mfp_iframe_popup class to the css and also directly to the html and neither option works. Is this possible?

You are on the right track, you need the class “mfp_iframe_popup” added to the link in order to enable the popup. Currently there’s no way to this, of course with some simple customization you can achieve this. I would add my own JS file via the Child theme, then in it you could for example look for a parent class, then add to its children links the “mfp_iframe_popup” class. Then add that parent class to the Top icon box. :)
