I recently was asked to update a site with the Aqua theme. A few of questions …

1. How do I know what version of the theme I am running? I don’t see any version numbers.

2. It appears that the page builder plugin (if there was one) is missing. Does Aqua come with a page builder such as WPBakery, etc.?

No Page builder for Aqua, just the older style shortcode based elements. :)

The site was built in 2013, so I assume it’s an old theme version. Anything I should be aware of when updating, other than backing up the site first?

Well, I hope the site is using a child theme if styling is overwritten…
I would make a global backup (with Duplicator plugin for example) and shoot. You can download the latest theme version from here:

No child theme, but I can create one. I don’t think there is any special CSS or PHP.
