Is there some code I can use to do this please? Example page:

I would like the “Description” and “Additional Information” tabs to be the full width of the page (excluding the sidebar – i.e. they mustn’t take up the sidebar space too.)

I have tried everything I can think of – please may you help?

Comment out these 2 lines from your functions.php file.

remove_action('woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_output_product_data_tabs', 10);
add_action('woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_output_product_data_tabs', 1);

Wouldn’t that just be like it was never added to the child theme?

I don’t want to do it on the main theme because it will be overwritten if I update the theme, won’t it?

No way to do it from the child theme at the moment, I will make a note to wrap this in a custom function in the next update, that way you can override this in the child theme by redeclaring this function! ;)
