Hi guys,
This is a new one – all has been fine for the last month while working on my site but all of a sudden today I can’t scroll properly on any of the pages… really strange! And a little worrying…

Only seems to be an issue in Chrome.
I had an issue today where I added an incorrect css class to one of the menu items. This seemed to delete half of the menu and mess with the slider, which suddenly started fading all the elements out after 6 seconds (previously they had held static once they faded in).
So I re-added the menu items and fiddled with the animation setting of the slider (i.e. extended the animation of all elements to last for a full minute).
Could any of these actions have caused the problem?

Please help!

Chris

Hey,

Are you speaking of the backend? VC uses ajax to update its elements and if you have a lot of them on a page sometimes it may seem like it freezes for a few seconds, you should simply wait till it does its thing and they keep going with the mods.

Sorry, no – frontend! Nothing to do with VC but small chance it’s to do with the Rev Slider animation settings? (???) I really don’t know. Not even sure if they changed?

I’ll check to see if the settings are any different to the original template I amended.
Will let you know either way…

I’m on PC so cant’ say for Mac tbh – but Chrome was particularly bad when I experienced it.
Figured out it was down to the amount of animation I had set within the slider – heavy imagery + plenty of animation = slow. I’d gone overboard with the length of my repeat cycle and it was just too much for the browser to handle.
Managed to resolve it by trimming all of my unnecessary animations/transitions.
Hope that helps!
