I was curious if there was a somewhat easy way for a noob like me to change the links within the Person element.
We do not use many of the social options like twitter or xing.
We were hoping to use items like instagram, spotify etc.
Is there a way to change this easily?

Actually yes, you can modify the \fortuna\includes\shortcodes\vc\boc_person.php file that defines the element.
You can for example modify the icon classes of one of the icons there:
icon icon-instagram2

with one that you would use (check this link for the icons available):

http://blueowlcreative.com/wp/fortuna/icons/

You would also change the title. :)
