Is there a way to get full-sized images in the lightbox? For some reason, they are all way smaller than the actual image. Thanks in advance.

It would be in your single-portfolio.php template.
I advise you to use an FTP to edit your files as a code error may cause everything to freeze in your WP editor.

No real issue, it’s a matter of understanding how things work, I will try to explain.
For the full width layout – 1200px is minimum if you don’t want the image stretched.
The slider uses the thumbnail created for the page – 1200×600. If the image is smaller wordpress crops it along those lines, in your case it’s cropped to 1000×600 here:

Still the full width slider stretches an image to be 100% of the layout for this specific layout, so – your image gets artificially stretched (pixelated). The zoom (lightbox) shows the big original image! It may simply look smaller depending on your screen size – the lighbox is made to fit on the screen…

Hope that makes sense.
Baisically a rule of thumb for you should be to use images that are at least 1200 wide, possibly use 2 proportions only to have things look uniform (1 for verrical, 1 for horizontal).
