Do you have Featured images attached to the portfolio items in the admin?
Seems like you don’t, try attaching some images and see the result. :)

That’s fine, simply upload your own custom Featured images. Make sure you use same proportion image sizes. :)

my import process fulfilled successfully, I passed through all steps in your docs
“Importing the Demo Data

We have included the an XML file that contains all of our Demo data, You may find this useful in setting up your theme. Please note, the XML file does not include the slider data/images. Instructions on how to import follow:

1. Locate the file in the root folder of your package – “aquatheme.Demo_Data.xml”
2. Navigate to WP Admin -> Tools -> Import.
3. Select and install WordPress importer.
4. Select the XML file and upload it. Wait for the content and the images to Import.”

Only problem, in my pack, which I have purchased, was the only XML file: aquatheme_wordpress_2014-05-06.xml. I will, of course, upload my own images, but it looks like the import problem starts in a XML file. I think, it will be useful to check the file for other users to avoid my problem.
