Hi,

I am responsible for looking after a website covering a collection of inns throughout the UK. At the moment, the way of looking at the full list of inns and filtering it is a little clumsy.

I am sure the portfolio feature will help me achieve a better result – but I am having problems.

What I am seeking to achieve on each portfolio page is a recreation of a standard page that already exists (for example ). Basically the page starts with a slider then breaks in to a couple of columns which contain text, images, widgets etc.

However when I copy the code in to a portfolio page I get this:

What do I need to do to the template in the CSS to stop the content going in to a narrow column? Also, I assume I need to remove the code to stop the display of the featured image on the portfolio item page – which code do I need to take out?

Thanks in advance.

James

Just spotted that the links have disappeared in the above post.

Basically, when a portfolio item page opens it puts the featured image in the first column (which is about 2 thirds wide) and then the rest in a second, much narrower column.

greatinns.co.uk/portfolio_item/the-rose-crown

The example I was linking to was one of your portfolio items on the demo site.

What I would like to do is have a single column and not to display the featured image.

My guess is that someone has altered the portfolio template.

Thanks again,

James

Sorted it. Had a play around with the template and changed a few of the references to columns. Also removed the line putting in the featured image.

You got it, you can modify the portfolio template anyway you please. Make sure you use a Child Theme to be on the safe side.
