Did they send me an old demodata file?

The export is from the Actual Live Demo of the Savia Theme. Footer widgets are created by you and are not part of the Stuff WP exports, you can create them for a minute under your Appearance->Widgets section. Main navigation should be imported, you just need to set your Menu Navigation as your active menu.
Did you try importing the new Demo on a new WP installation?
