I’m experiencing an incredibly slow site on mobile devices.
I understand this could be a number of things, I’ve reached out to the host already and they aren’t being much help.

Wondering if you would have any idea or past experience with this issue.

First off you have some JS errors – check your console, some Rev slider issues I got.

You can speed things up by removing heavy plugins, I can see you have some custom ones loading custom icons, JS etc, that are rather heavy too.

they are saying it has to do with the pre-installed version of visual composer

I tried to remove it and install the version i purchase
but it keeps reverting back to the pre0installed one, can you help?

The issue at your end is because there is an inbuilt version of Visual Composer (or the related code) present in your theme which is overriding the standalone plugin version and hence causing the issue. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. kindly check.

So which theme version did you install?
The theme simply suggests for you to install the plugin that comes with the theme, it is currently ver 4.8.1 with theme version 1.3.
So it’s as easy as this, if you want you can deinstall, remove the plugin and install the standalone version, the only thing that the theme does is it suggests to intall the version that ships with it if VC is not present at all.
The part i didn’t understand is – what is due to the VC version exactly?

ok so i did try this
i removed VC
and then reinstalled from the zip that i purchased from them
but its like the old version is still there
there is no ‘license’ option in the nav

… which is probably something that you dont have anything to do with -sigh-

Let me see your URL please, if you give me credentials too I could go in and see what’s going on and make sure you have the latest version!
If you are running Fortuna 1.3 it has the latest version of VC in it…
