Slider Revolution Blank

Hi. I just purchased this theme today. I installed the theme, plugins, demo content, etc. My issue is that any page that uses rev slider (eg. home page) is showing a blank space where the slider should be.

I have no other additional plugins installed. No Javascript errors in console.

Any idea why the sliders would not be appearing? I have tried both the demo sliders and creating a new slider. Nothing displays.

Unfortunately, I am testing on a local server so I cannot provide a link or a login.

Have you imported the sliders, they are separate from the Demo pages and other content, check here :

Yes, sliders are imported. I have tried with your demo content, demo content direct from themepunch and creating my own sliders. All show as a blank space on the page.

I am unsure if this is related, but I have also noticed an odd option at the bottom of the page settings on every page, entitled ‘Revolution Slider Options’ that cannot be changed from ‘Default’. I don’t see any info about this option in your documentation.

This is an option that Revolution slider plugin adds, I would disregard it.

What do you mean blank space?? What’s your URL?

Hi. Sorry for the confusion. I installed the theme on a live server and everything was working properly. It appears the issue is with my local server (MAMP). I am still trying to figure the issue.

It seems that this is an issue with the latest build of revslider. Themepunch is aware of the issue and are working on a solution:

From their support page:
We may figured out where the problem comes from. It seems that the port:8888 is wrong implemented in the url change within the script and this is what breaks the slider on localhost. We will provide a fix for this very soon !

Once they update their plugin, will you provide the updated version?

OH, sure mate! Thanks for sharing that, it’s good to know!
I am planning on releasing a new version around Fri – Sat, so hopefully it’s out by then so I will release it too!
