I’m using Fortuna to build a customer website and I’m experiencing issues with the testimonial slider. The html shows up in the DOM however other than the nav bullets nothing else shows up in the browser.

Tested (without success):
- multiple browsers
- copied testimonial code from demo
- tried all the possible options
- tried a different background to be sure it’s not a color issue (still, photo should show up)
- tried using the main theme instead of child
- etc.

Sadly I can’t show you a URL as it is a private project, however I’m happy to share my screen (skype/teamviewer) and help identify the problem.

PS: I did a clean install of Fortuna w/demo content and it works fine.

Of course, I understand and we shall resolve this, thinking of how to proceed as I cannot access your site to see what’s going on. Please switch the Classic Mode editor and send me your Page content so I check it on my side.

That won’t do any good, I tested the code (copy/paste text) and works okay in a the vanilla/demo Fortuna install. As I said in my initial message, I feel the easiest way to go about this is to share my screen/controls through TeamViewer so you can have access to everything.

This seems to be an issue for you so I will set up a live version w/htaccess and send you the link / login data via PM, is that okay?

I found the problem, for some reason the routine for fading in the testimonial items breaks, strange enough the whole testimonial is shown, the individual items aren’t…
For the time being please add this to your Theme options->Custom CSS:

.owl-carousel .owl-item .boc_owl_lazy {
    opacity: 1;
}

As for the smooth scroll links, you have set the “Link Relationship (XFN)” field, read on here:

Thank you for figuring this out, pretty strange, right? I’ll use the fix you provided and hopefully you’ll find the root of the issue and fix it in an update.

I didn’t set up the XFN for the smooth scroll, will give that a shot, thanks!
