Hello Just bought the theme as I really liked the demo.

I followed all the instructions making the theme live.

Here is my site

Distrob.com

As you can see it is not formatted properly or displayed like the demo link

http://themeforest.net/item/fortuna-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/12496833

Why isnt it displaying exactly as the demo. Would like it like that so I can just edit in my own text and images etc.

Thank you.

Hi there Sheldon,

All is looking fine. All you need to do next is set your Main navigation and pick the Home/Blog pages, you can also import the Theme Options if you wish:

http://blueowlcreative.com/docs/fortuna/#page5

http://blueowlcreative.com/docs/fortuna/#installation3

http://blueowlcreative.com/docs/fortuna/#installation4

http://blueowlcreative.com/docs/fortuna/#setup2

Setting your Menu, Home & Blog page are core WP functionalities and they should be done separately from importing the Demo.
Let me know should you have any more questions regarding the Setup.

I just bought this theme and I have been trying to install the demo content for the past few hours and it keeps sending me to 404 page after trying to install content. Some of the media files actually got uploaded but I do not have any of the pages or menus.

I’ve tried increasing the memory by adding the code below to the wp-config.php and it still continues to give me errors.
set_time_limit(300);
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’256M’);

What can I do to install all the demo content properly?

Hi there,

What error do you get and at what point?
If your hosting has limitations there’s a chance that they do not allow you to change the memory limit at runtime.
The simplest way to find out is to contact them and tell them that importing the Demo blows up and most likely some of the limit directives need to be increased.
Just for reference here’s what I have set in my local directory php.ini file and it surely works with those:

memory_limit = 512M
max_execution_time = 180
upload_max_filesize = 50M
post_max_size = 50M
max_input_vars = 6000

They will also be able to assist with finding out which one of the directives is currently insufficient via the error log files.

Read more here on resetting your DB:

http://blueowlcreative.com/docs/fortuna/#installation3

Please let us know how the communication goes, this will be helpful to others as well.
I am also here should you further need my help.

Hi again Oz,

This is something that should go into your php.ini file.
If you are to try with wp-config.php try with these:

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');
ini_set('max_execution_time', '180');

There’s no guarantee these will work though, your hosting may have a restriction on a lower level that doesn’t allow you to increase those limits.
To make things clear you should understand this is not a theme issue, rather a shared hosting limitation, that’s why I advised you to ask your hosting to fix this for you. My hosting usually applies the changes for me within less than an hour and help me with similar issues. Standing by to further help if you need it!

Hi again Oz,

I will try to explain again. Fortuna’s Demo is big as it includes a lot of pages & Media(images etc), so the limitations of your server block it. I cannot change your server restrictions that your hosting provider has set for each user. They have to do it for you, and you need to ask them to temporarily increase the limitations of your server so that you can import the DEMO! If they are as kind as my hosting providers they would even import it for you (will take them minutes once they increase the limits), you are paying for your hosting so they should adequately reply to you in a timely manner. Once they do we can go on with the rest! As soon as you send me the FTP access I will update your theme for you.

If you are to still try yourself, add the lines I showed you above in the beginning of your wp-config.php. I would still talk to the hosting guys first as like I said they may have restrictions on a lower level.
