We installed an svg plugin which I believe overwrote the theme icons or at least pointed to the new styles.
How do we get the theme icons back.
The purpose of the svg plugin was to add custom icons.

You should see how the plugin introduces the new icons and if it overrides the CSS styles of the original theme icons, if yes which is most likely the case I would try changing those new icon classes if possible or try a different plugin.
