I just installed the theme with the demo content and other demo content and I runned a speed test
I haven’t uploaded my content yet and the result of the speed it:

How can I or you improve the speed since this score is really bad.

Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content

None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.

I am planning on adding this to the documentation – guidelines on how to improve page loads on your server!
Here’s what I have setup for my Demo, took me awhile to have everything setup but results are great, page load speeds are just over a second for the heaviest ones even though the theme is quite heavy on plugins, JS etc.

1. First off I am using “Better WordPress Minify” plugin to Minify all my resources (JS & CSS) and to combine them into single bundle files!
2. Combine the above with using a CDN (I use Cloudflare) and you will notice the results immediately. All your resources will be combined into single JS and CSS files, they will be minified and they will be loaded off of a CDN.
3. Using “WP Super Cache” or “WP Total Cache” are great ways to cache your page content. They Cache your pages into static HTML files so they are served straight away when requested by the client browser instead of building the pages dynamically, running hundreds of queries etc. upon every page load.
4. Optimize your images (make sure any image you upload to your WP installation is optimized for web). In the Demo images are not optimized in the best way as we’d rather have the Demo look its best, but it’s definitely something you can look into if you further want to improve your page loads.

The speed of the Demo like i said is not currently fully optimized as the images are not optimized at its best + the google analytics we are running is not browser cached for more than 2 hours. Look at Google Speed, these are the highest priority things to improve.
Other than that everything is done by the book, so you can see the page load for the home page for example is improved from loading for more than 5 seconds down to about a second which is amazing having in mind the size of Fortuna Demo and how many resources it encorporates!
Have you done the above things I recommend?
Your phone loads things slowly possibly due to the many resources and slower bandwidth in general. Also have in mind that revslider is heavy on it, you won’t have that on every page + a typical site won’t be a s heavy as Fortuna’s Demo for sure.
