Update to PHP 7.0

Hi there. I would like to update the PHP to version 7..x.x, but there are 2 errors and some warning in some files of your them.
Please, may you help me to resolve?
Below the details:

Hi again,

For the time being you can comment out these 2 lines in your contact.php file:

} else if (!eregi("^[A-Z0-9._%-]+@[A-Z0-9._%-]+\.[A-Z]{2,4}$", trim($_POST['email']))) {
    $hasError = true;

or replace the eregi function with preg_match.

The rest are just warnings so you can disregard them for now, of course switch off the warnings and messages from your server settings!

Do you think there will be any others update of Aqua?
I know it is not a new theme, but I really like it and I’m curious to know if it it will be still maintained in the future.
If not, may you please tell me how to replace the eregi function with preg_match?
I know notthing about PHP

Yes, it will be supported, sure!
Try filtering out the mail validation like so in your contact.php template in your child theme:

} else if (!eregi("^[A-Z0-9._%-]+@[A-Z0-9._%-]+\.[A-Z]{2,4}$", trim($_POST['email']))) {
    $hasError = true;

with:

} else if (!filter_var(trim($_POST['email']), FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL)) {
    $hasError = true;

Ciao BlueOwl,
I’m sorry to be here again for the same reason.
Although I edit contact.php template there are still errors with Extension ‘ereg’ and Function eregi(). I think the problem is not that file…
My website seems to work fine in the frontend, but I cannot use the backend (Error 500).
The error logs show [Thu Jan 26 00:47:44.692891 2017] [:warn] [pid 29148] [client 109.73.235.82:37644] Timeout waiting for output from CGI script /home/guidedo3/public_html/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, referer: https://www.guidedolomiti.com/wp-admin/

Yes, not being able to access the backend sounds like something that is not theme related…
Could you check what the server logs are saying?

Hi BlueOwl.
I think is a theme issue, because switching to a default WordPress theme the issue disappears.
I contacted the host provider and, after checking, they said that the issue is related with some plugins or theme. I tried to disable all plugins, but it does not fix the issue.

Within wp-config I enabled WP_DEBUG. This is now showed on the login page (is a staging site):
