Even when I add new widgets to WP Bakery they don’t appear in the plug in and neither on the website.

Which version of VC are you using and which PHP version are you on?
Earlier versions of VC had an issue with PHP 7, and results are similar to what you are describing, have you updated to the latest VC yet?

thank you for your answer. I am using WP Bakery Page Builder version 5.4.5. I am using it with WordPress version 4.9.8.

I cannot update WP Bakery Page Builder because I did not bought a license and actually wanted to use it only with the Fortuna theme by now.
