i’ve tried:
.footer_btm .row {
margin-bottom: 10px;
margin-top: 10px;
}
to shorten the default footer height and it doesn’t seem to work…any suggestions?

and you can further reduce the column bottom margin in the footer if you want:

    margin-bottom: 10px;
