Home page full width slider

I do feel like an idiot here but I am really baffled as to how I add in a slider for the home page (and other pages) that displays just below the header and above the content.

I know how to create the sliders but do not know how to add the shortcode to the correct place and despite hours of looking, I am none the wiser.

My previous attempts have resulted in a full width slider that then merges into the sidebar and content rather than being above it.

Help! I’m sure it is obvious once I know how.

Hi again,

What template are you using? The full width content or one with a sidebar?
You would simply add a row, then add a Rev slider element to that row…
If using the Content + sidebar in order to have a full width row you need to switch back to regular full width template then add the slider then create a row with 2 columns and place a Widgetized sidebar in one.

I am having the same problem of having a slider and the sidebar shows up on top of it instead of below it.

How do you add a widgetized sidebar in VC? I don’t see it as an option in VC.

Hi again,

It’s a VC element that you can add to any column. So you organize your Rows/columns the way you want like:

ROW (holding the Rev slider)

ROW (3/4 + 1/4)

And place the widgetized sidebar in the 1/4 col.

The problem is that I am not seeing Widgetized Sidebar as an option in VC. Is there a reason I wouldn’t be seeing it as an option?

Oh, really old version, that’s why.
We are at v 1.50 now… make sure you update it along with all the plugins:
