We have repeatedly tried with my hosting provider to import the .xml file of the demo without success.
We increased the php parameters according (even higher) to http://blueowlcreative.com/support_wp/forums/topic/demo-data-not-imported/ and we tried again several times with no results..
Ultimately we tried to import the .xml file by splitting it into smaller parts with the WXR File Splitter (http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/split-large-xml-for-wordpress/) and we managed to import the demo but the hierarcy of the structure of the Fortuna main navigation menu was not imported (Appearance-Menus-Fortuna Main Navigation-Menu Structure).
Please let us receive your support to install the demo, otherwise the theme after all is of no use without the demo, since the demo acts as the template of the design.
Maybe to split correctly the xml file into smaller parts?

I assure you that if the limits are properly increased then the Demo should import just fine.
Sometimes hosting providers have limitations set on a lower level than htaccess and php.ini files, did you contact them and had them assist you with this?

We managed to import the demo by using the WP CLI command line interface (https://wp-cli.org/ via SSH access.

So the most effective process to import the demo is:
1) Ask your hosting provider to activate Secure Shell access (SSH) to your server.
2) Download putty telnet client http://www.putty.org/.
3) Run putty on your client PC, connect to your server and type the command:
wp-cli import fortuna.wordpress.2016-02-02.xml –authors=skip
