Right now I have two revolution sliders elements on my page, one for desktop and one for mobile.
One hidden for the other.
When I see my network activities in chrome devtools mobile view, I see both background images are being downloaded.
Instead I would like to only have downloaded the desired rev slider html and images.
I believe this will optimize page download times and minimize download sizes.

The solution I think is adding the rev sliders shortcodes conditionally somewhere.

I just dont understand how to name the custom shortcode for use.

How can I achieve this or is there another simpel solution?

I personally like to simply style my sliders accordingly for mobile and desktop (you have options for each layer so that should be pretty easy to manage)!
I guess you could also write your own code like in the link you have there to load them separately, quite an overkill solution I think.
If you still want to go that way the place to add your own shortcodes would be your Child theme! Adding shortcodes – check google, plenty of examples out there.
