No, images are not supported out of the box. Of course you can add some with CSS if you know some but that would be require some customization.
UberMenu has not been officially tested with the theme yet. If you have it you can try it out and give your feedback, it would be appreciated. If further effort is needed for its integration i would also be happy to help! :)
