I just set up my portfolio page using the Portfolio Grid element in VC, however on the page it is seems like there is some absolute positioning throwing the layout of the page all out of whack. I have the Title bar and top margin turned off because I was going to use the Design Options on the row to handle the spacing, but doesn’t seem to be helping. Any ideas?

Just to be more clear, I have tried two things:

1. Portfolio page template, with Title bar and top margin disabled gives the above result.

2. Custom page with Default template & VC Portfolio grid works fine

I’d rather have the dropdown version of the filter instead of the buttons across the top of the grid, how can I accomplish that?

If using the Portfolio grid you don’t need to use the Portfolio page template, matter of fact the Portfolio page template is only meant to be used for having the dropdown filter in the top right…
The grid element however is a separate entity and only uses the link filtering, no dropdown.

I got it figured out late last night. It’s one version or the other. Maybe a feature request to have choices between the two nav instances? Buttons vs. Dropdown filtering?
