As you can see the image is showing in full on the screen.

However, when I resize the browser window slightly so that it is a little thinner, he image stays deep but crops the edges like so:

I want it to resize in proportion, so that the width of the image is maintained (and not cropped). I’m happy for it to be shallower and not so deep so that this is possible.

How do I set it to do this?

You can modify each layer’s behavior in different resolutions. Also the whole slider size!
It really depends how you have your background image here.. if it’s background-size is set to cover then it’s normal that it gets cropped depending on the screen size.
I would play with the sizes of the sliders!

Is it in the slider revolution settings somewhere?

I want it to automatically re-size in pro basically when the browser window is shrunk/enlarged…

Sorry, the revolution slider plugin has so many tabs and options! I don’t know where to look :)
