Ever since I moved to your new theme Fortuna, our site has been terribly slow. We have all the optimization but since the script has lot of requests and multiple external file requests; its terribly slow to load and its causing us a headache now.

Would appreciate some help from you guys directly.

As you can see, fonts are one of the biggest reasons, need this fixed or help with this soon.

Takes a few seconds to load for me.
I see you used the minification/combining of resources.
Make sure you defer all JS to the footer (the only low grade that you get from the PageSpeed test).
Another thing you can do the speed things up would be to remove the Parallax & Video BGR for VC plugin as it’s a bit heavy, just as VC itself.

don’t really need to be PNG, you can switch to JPG to optimize those as well.

As you can see the waterfall on GTmetrix, the problem is in the theme itself which is not well optimized for performance as its sending out dozens of external requests first prior to the site getting loaded.

Would appreciate your help on this soon as its costing us.

But the homepage itself took almost over 3 seconds to load which is pretty bad.

The theme loads its resources (NOT External requests) normally like any other theme does according to the best WP practices.
Still left for you to optimize:

Defer parsing of JavaScript!
Add Expires headers
Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN) (not sure why YSLow doesn’t detect you have one)

Not sure what you have done at the moment but the css is broken…

I have already added expiry headers.
and we have MAXCDN enabled.

Regarding broken CSS, we haven’t touched any core files, all the modifications are done from the theme settings itself. The site is still terribly slow. I would really appreciate your help on this one.
