Feature image won't go full screen

Hi I really have no idea what I am doing wrong and I broke the “Cool Portfolio Page” demo page too!

If I add a full page container and put my content within in and then set the feature image the text appears to the right of the image…

If I remove the featured image the text for the portfolio page is properly full screen.

How do I get a full screen image at top with content full width below it?
