reduce information underneath the logo/menu line

Is it possible the reduce the space underneath the logo/menu line?
Not it displays home>page name,
and than blank lines and then again the name of page.
Because of the fact that the main menu is very closeby i want to delete some blank lines and the home>page name.
is that possible??
