Updating JS file

Hi,

I would like to upgrade the Jquery file within the Js folder from 1.7.2 to 1.12.0.
But in doing so, some componets of my website won’t work anymore. The slider and client testimonials part will go corrupt.

The reason why I’m updating the Jquery file is because I’m implementing some new code which needs a higher version of Jquery.
Is there any chance that you can help me with this problem? Or a way to update the Jquery library without it going corrupt.
