Indexing Problem

Hi, I need to solve a big problem. We built the website on a different sub domain : wordpress.clarity-webshop.com and then we migrated the website to the right domain: http://www.touchsystems.co.uk, in order to not shut the website down.

This strategy created few problems as broken links or images with url coming from the different subdomain.

Which is the best strategy to follow according to SEO? Is not better to build the website on a subdomain of the main domain, for example http://www.touchsystems.co.uk/resources and then migrate it to the main domain?

Is it gonna be the same thing?
