VC issues – accordion and tab elements

I created an accordion element containing 4 separate elements inside. After I save and return to the page a few days later, none of the content is affected, but the VC elements show the outermost container but none of the inside elements, preventing me from editing them further.

Previously, the exact same description happened when I created a tab element with 4 inside items.

This has happened to me twice now. The first time I passed it off as perhaps something wrong with the element itself. I updated VC and the theme to make sure I had the latest version. Now I’m sure I have the latest version and it’s done it again.

Any suggestions?
