Problem Portfolio Filter Slug

Hi all, i have a question.
I’ve created a Portfolio Page with a filter option in the header.
My question is: Would be possibile to hide one filtering option slug, for instance “Old works”, in the home page grid but however keep it displayable once someone has clicked the filtering button “Old works”?
