WP Bakery Not Showing Up in Front or Back End

Hello! I am beating my head on this because I can’t figure out why I am only seeing the WP Bakery/VC shortcodes on every page and not the editors. It doesn’t show up whether it’s the backend (preferred) or front end. I inherited maintenance for this site and purchased the theme myself so we could update properly. Even with the plugin updates, nothing is working. I’ve been deleting plugins that aren’t in use and even deactivating everything didn’t help. Any ideas would be appreciated because I’m pretty frustrated here.

UPDATE – there was a sneaky, very outdated plugin that was the culprit.
