_blank not working

I set the target value, in the ‘Image Box Settings’, to ‘_blank’.

Which as the widget notes ‘Pick ‘_blank’ if you want the link to open in a new tab.’.

However, the link does not open in a new window, and when I look at the page source code, it is not included.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?
