Background Tlting

Hey, I just trying to do this effect: http://blueowlcreative.com/wp/fortuna/new-elements-v1-2/ (Awesome Background Tlting) but I can’t figure out how to do it.

The effect is no like the demo and I can’t custom the boxes to be transparent.

Please, can you help me? (I already readed the documentation and tryed it)
