Portfolio Image Sizing Questions

Hi,

I am trying to change the image sizes of all my portfolio images. Right now I find that the portfolio images are geared to wide images, not long images.

My images are longer & I am trying to use the portfolio section to display special carpet products. The images are more in height than width. I am trying to tweak the portfolio image settings to make my category pages look like this;

I would also like to adjust my portfolio single item page. It doesn’t look great when the images are more height than width. Here is an example – http://i.imgur.com/gotjaFt.jpg

Is there a way I can tweak my image portfolio settings?
